Ooof ! The Crofter caught feeding the coows - or some of them anyway. This is the apportionment. eh? The rest of them are/were in the big shed on the croft. I really can't keep up. There's three baby coows now too. and four or is it five ferrets?
And since you were waiting for it, here's Mrs Crofter tutting over the brakelight. Another job to do after painting the PoR pink.
Mrs Crofter has been very busy. Aprt from sorting the trailer light out, feeding the coows and all Gemmima has been busily baking for the Charity Macmillan Nurses coffee morning at the Hotel where she works. Great cause and The Crofter has gone along to in support too.
I was out with the Crofters today running around a croft trying to catch sheeps. Apparently they sold a few but had to get them in first. I was wasted. Had to go to sleep afterwards. I'd also been out to the coows and into the big shed where an assortment of creatures were playing.
where Mr Croftger tickled Rosie's things for some reason !
Look, see, this must be the Groom and his wife taking to the floor at the dance. Probably anyway. Looks like the best man is standing by to catch The Good Crofter should the fumes from his drink get the better of his nostrils and everything.
Think Mrs Crofter is so enamored by this snap she is commissioning one thousand copies to send to all her fans. She might be - when she sees the snap anyway. Gemima has such good taste you know - although I do realise this snap is not pink !
It's ok. I'm not going to bore you with endless snaps of the Great Event. Just thought you'd like to see The happy couple, The Crofter's parents.
That black bit in the top left was the moving of the boxing ring. I might tell you about that bit later - if I get some comments. Not sure what that big thing on the right is though. The world was shaking at this point so I missed the actuality of it all - apart from Dad Crofter's relieved smile.
I know, you have all been waiting for the snaps of the Great Day. Here I have the first in my special 'wedding style'. It's not everyone that gets this treatment so The Husband Crofter should thank his lucky stars I was there.
I think this is The Husband Crofter with the Good Wife Crofter. Probably is. I can't imagine I took snaps of many people at the occasion. I was enjoying myself, you don't expect me to take snaps and notice who it was as well do you?
As soon as I find out who this really is and I have looked at some other negs I shall let you know. Possibly.
Whatever, the Husband Crofter is now a married Man!
I'd found The Crofter wandering round in the long grassy stuff. Looked lost so I guided him back home for a cuppa, discussed the on-going tdf and the up-and coming 'event'. Maybe that was why he looked so very lost.
He's still there. Making the pearly-whites. Mrs2b was at work when I called so popped down later to make sure The Crofter hadn't been keeping Mrs2b locked up in a cupboard or something. She wasn't in the cupboard and they are both happy. Happy choosing hairstyles. Cut and polish for the boy me thinks !
The PoR has moved. Although it was The Crofter who moved the thing using the working [at the moment] Chinese tractor to pull and push it to its current resting place where no doubt it will fall into the dust/mud.
There's sheeps in that there big shed at the moment. And a duck. The coows have been thrown out - apart from Tinga and her daughter Erica. The sheeps are in foal you see. Soon be popping out all over the shed. Here they were rushing around all over the shed as The Kind Crofter arranged their food.
Oh, he is so very strong as well as kind. I think he might have smiled too. Wonders never cease as The Crofter lays the sheeps' table ready for dinner.
Meanwhile Mrs 2be jumps for joy as the poorly sheeps gets stuck in with the special table laying away from the other sheeps.
Oh please! The children were out in force this morning after the little dusting of snow. The Crofter playing at clearing the windscreen on Pimpmobile2 whilst simultaneously pelting his 2b with snowballs. Pity he wasn't so good with his aim as Ms 2b was with hers.
All was good at the end. I, your diarist got away without being hit and the children continued the day filling the Pimpmobile2 back with sacks of food from the back of Ms2b's car. The big tractor, still awaiting Ms2b's attention re; rebuild, looked on forlornly. Pimpmobile1 sadly sits rotting away while the quad and BabyTractor never even got a look in.
I know it's not my thing but I present to you The Crofter in wonderful AgfaColour. Eh?
Yes, don't worry, I don't have too much of the stuff so we'll be back to monochrome in no time.
Must have been a darkish day when I went down with this film loaded in the little Pentax Espio Mini but I managed to find Mrs2be about to say her piece to the Baby Tractor. No, I don't know why either.
Looks like it must have lightened up suddenly. It can't be the fault of the snapper can it? Surely not. There, that's The Crofter, Mr2be and all that. Still smiling too - at least he was at this point. Could have been wind I suppose. It has been a windy old winter after all. And wet. Did I tell you it rains here? Feeding up he was. The aminules.
There he is; let loose with the new Pimpmobile which he seems to filling with bags of snacks for the animules. and now there is a new animule to play with, a wee cowlette born Monday and all that. No idea of it's flavour as yet bit I'm sure to let you know. And yes, the sun has been shining wonderfully.
No idea what he, the crofter is doing to be honest - although it does involve a baby tractor, a roll of dry grass stuff and a barn.
I'm sure you can work the rest out for yourself.
I think Gemmima will let him back in the house soon!
On the Isle of Lewis off the west coast of mainland Scotland lies a croft inhabited by an English off-comer. His Mum and Dad live nearby and help him run the croft. This is a photographic record of their lives as it unfolds.
