Found the Kind Crofter making a new gate to celebrate Dad Crofter's birthday the other day. Proper Hebridean job too - pallets!
Twas a lovely day too, the sun shimmering on the mainland snow topped mountains some 50 miles o'er the water. Didn't seem that far away. The wind was a tad cold mind. Gales had blown the night before so the Crofter was keeping his delicate bonce warm in a nice wolley hat.
On the Isle of Lewis off the west coast of mainland Scotland lies a croft inhabited by an English off-comer. His Mum and Dad live nearby and help him run the croft. This is a photographic record of their lives as it unfolds.
