No, I am not sure when this was but it wasn't recent as it isn't pouring with rain. In fact it looks like the kind crofter and his side man Colin are practically in their summer gear.

The Crofter's dilemma; how many sheeps with a hangover can one fit in the boot of a small hatchback?

Here's to a great 2022

Ms Emily tries out a passing horse for size and wonders which part of Dad's croft is available to keep one. Gemma Crofter looks on as the girls from the local horse trekking place give Emily the chance to sit on the horsey.

Meanwhile Murdo grazing committee stops by and wonder how the gate to the grazing by the beach down the road keeps being shut after he's taken it off its hinges and tied it up - several times.

Murdo is trying to tempt The Crofters recalcitrant sheeps off the grass there as it's time to give the land a rest - or something like that.

I could hear the whirr-Baa of the mechanised shearing taking place not 50ft from my home. The Crofter and Finlay were releasing the hot creatures of their mainly black wool. The Hebridean sheeps wool is currently worth nothing so it's done for kind reasons and the Soay sheeps had already shed their wool for themselves.

The boys were talking films for some reason, not haylage or the soaring price crofts on the island but it was a nice scene all the same.

Ms Emily Crofter and I took time out to name a late new born lamb too. Nigel is doing fine since you ask as the weather here is still fine and warmish [relatively].
